I was fine with this, because you can always click the extension and then click autofill. Just like with LastPass, I had to disable some of the automatic stuff because it would pop up when I didn't want it to. There are things I can nitpick about, but for the most part they are just that. There was more than a few occasions where fields in my LastPass vault got changed to a weird character. The family member gets a link, and they are the only ones who see the decrypted data. This is done through a brilliant implementation of both symmetric and asymmetric encryption standards.

Specified people on the family plan can recover the vaults of family members who have lost their master password / secret key. This is all done securely by sending encrypted data through 1PW servers, and then you sharing a link to decrypt that encrypted through a different channel. Anyone can share a single password with anybody, 1PW user or not. On a family plan you can share an entire vault with a family member, and there is one shared vault for everyone on the plan. Secure password sharing that actually works. You can also choose to block access to certain vaults when you are traveling. You can have multiple vaults, and choose which ones show up in the browser extension.

This reminded me that despite Android 11 moving to keyboard based autofill which was a huge step up over the old Android 8 autofill, that there's still a huge gap between Android and iOS autofill capabilities. I probably had 1 app that failed to autofill but because autofill works so well in general and clipboard doesn't interfere with autofill, I was able to autofill every other app. I went through the similar steps of setting up my phone like I did with my Pixel a month ago but this time on iPhone. The whole experience just became even MORE clear and apparent to me last night because I got a new work phone (iPhone). Once I had to involve clipboard none of the other apps, even apps I know that should work fine with autofill would work anymore because they would show my clipboard above the keyboard. A few worked fine, but a few didn't and required me to manually copy/paste. I was re-setting up my personal Android phone a month ago and went logging into probably 20+ apps.

Android has this bad habit of "relying" on devs to comply so if your app developer doesn't properly code login fields, the autofill doesn't trigger.īut even if they DO a good job, another bug/issue I've found is that if you have recently put anything into the clipboard, where the autofill option might show up above the keyboard now shows up as the clipboard. It mostly works, but some fields don't trigger. We'll always be marked by an official flair, and will always love both 1Password and you. You'll see some friendly people from the 1Password team ready to help you - keep an eye out for /u/1PasswordCS-Blake, /u/agben, u/Zatara214, and more of us!
